Overview of Common Services Centres (CSCs)

Common Services Centres (CSCs) serve as access points for delivering essential public utility services to citizens residing in rural and remote regions across the country.

- Total CSCs: 13,352  

- Rural CSCs: 8,997  

- Urban CSCs: 4,355  

Key Programs Offered 

- Tele-Law: Assists citizens in enrolling for tele-law services at CSCs.  

- Tele-Agri Services: Enables farmers to connect with KVK scientists via the Tele-Agri Service available on the Digital Seva portal.  

- Financial Inclusion: Provides banking services, including account opening for citizens.  

Educational Initiatives through CSCs 

- Digital Beti Project: Launched by Facebook in partnership with CSC Academy, this initiative focuses on training individuals in livelihood opportunities through online social media platforms.  

- Digital Village Project: A Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiative aimed at transforming villages into Digital Villages through various programs, including Investor Awareness Programs, Career-Oriented Programs, and Tele-Medicine Services.
