Security forces and the administration of Jammu and Kashmir deserve praise for their work in keeping the Amarnath Yatra safe this year, despite difficulties and threats. This is according to India's Home Minister, Amit Shah, who congratulated them on their successful efforts.

The annual pilgrimage, which began on July 3, was suspended from August 3 due to heavy rainfall in the region. Over 4.14 lakh devotees participated in the yatra this year. Minister Shah highlighted the fact that not even a single devotee faced trouble or inconvenience, despite the challenging circumstances.

In a statement, Shah said that the Center will continue to provide all possible assistance to the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure the safety of the valley's citizens. He also praised the security forces for their diligence in maintaining law and order, despite militant groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) threatening to target the pilgrimage.

This year's Amarnath Yatra was a success, despite the challenges, and the credit goes to the dedicated staff of the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the exemplary professionalism of the country's security forces.
