Poland declares war on drugs, arrests Massive police operation in Poland has resulted in 22 arrests and the seizure of an illegal drug lab producing "significant quantities" of synthetic drugs. The police uncovered the lab in March and detained three individuals, and their investigations revealed a network that produced almost 1.5 tons of the synthetic stimulant klfaredrone. Along with the arrests, police also seized ammunition and nearly 40,000 in cash. The operation involved multiple counter-terror units from Warsaw, odz, Lublin, and other regional police departments in central and eastern Poland.

The exact locations and premises where the drugs were produced and distributed are still being investigated, and the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters believe that the network has affected many more people and communities than first thought.

The scale of the operation has raised concerns among Polish law enforcement, highlighting the increasing importance of such synthetic drugs. "The use of synthetic narcotics is a growing problem in Poland and Europe, which is why the Metropolitan Police Headquarters in Warsaw has decided to prioritize this investigation," said Brigadier Jarosaw Szymczyk, Head of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters.

"This is also related to the increasing popularity of these substances among young people, which poses a serious risk to their health. We will continue to work with other law enforcement agencies to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal groups operating in synthetic narcotics to protect the public."

Despite no deaths currently being linked to the network, klfaredrone is a highly potent drug, and just 100 milligrams is enough to cause a severe overdose. The drug is popular at concerts, nightclubs, and festivals because it creates feelings of euphoria, agitation, and disinhibition similar to MDMA and other party drugs. However, the potential side effects include anxiety, delusions, paranoia, and increased heart rate and body temperature, potentially leading to kidney failure or organ damage.
