Passenger patience is wearing thin in Jammu as Northern Railways prepares to deploy special trains to get people out.
Jammu has been inundated with stranded passengers seeking to head to their onward destinations, with 46 trains cancelled yesterday and today according to officials. The situation has caused frustration and discontent amongst the would-be passengers, however, Northern Railways has announced that two special trains will run from the Jammu station tomorrow to help stranded passengers get to where they need to go. It is hoped this will provide some relief to the situation which has seen frustration amongst travellers who have been unable to make essential journeys.
This news has been well received by the public, and officials are moving to address the issues of those stranded, with more special trains planned for Sunday, to help those still looking to continue their journeys, alongside those who need essential supplies and medications.
