Elli AvrRam Slams Age Pressure In Bollywood: 'We Need To Evolve, Its Toxic To The Body'

Indian actress Elli AvrRam is the latest public figure to speak out against ageism in the Bollywood film industry. In a recent interview, the actress addressed being body-shamed in the industry and the pressure to retain a youthful appearance. She emphasizes the importance of aging naturally and the toxic effects of cosmetic enhancements to retain career longevity.

"I should be 20 forever? Thats ridiculous," she says. "It's so pathetic that people focus on that and not on talent, personality, or skill."

AvrRam, who recently appeared in the thriller "Mumbai Match," also stresses the importance of using yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic wellness practices to embrace natural beauty and a healthy mind-body connection. She believes in nourishing and caring for her body with what "it needs instead of working on what you think you need to look good for Instagram."

The actress' comments come as a growing number of actors and public figures in India are speaking out against body shamers and ageism in the industry.

"We need to evolve as a society and stop focusing on these petty things and objectsify women and men," AvrRam says. "It's toxic to the body, and when you do come across these people, these so-called followers, they are the ones who have the most insecure mindset."
