In a significant joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) has seized narcotics with an estimated illicit market value of over Rs 75 crore, and arrested eight individuals, thereby disrupting an international drug trafficking network.

The joint team intercepted four suspected vehicles on the Aizawl-Champhai National Highway and apprehended eight individuals, along with four vehicles.
The BSF stated that during the search, officials recovered three plastic bags containing 50 packets, each weighing approximately one kilogram, of pinkish tablets suspected to be Methamphetamine (Yaba), weighing roughly 50 kilograms, and amounting to approximately 500,000 tablets.
Additionally, three soap cases containing 36 grams of heroin were also confiscated.
