Amit Shah Reviews Relief Efforts In Flood-Hit J&K, Calls For AI-Based Study Of Cloudbursts

Jammu and Kashmir undergoes devastating floods induced by cloudbursts. Follow the aftermath of the natural disaster as Union Minister Amit Shah examines relief efforts and calls for an AI-based study of cloudbursts in the region.

An intense thunderstorm swept through Jammu and Kashmir, claiming at least FIVE LIVES and causing DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. Homes, livestock, and infrastructure lie devastated across the union territory as the region continues to grapple with the aftermath. Nestled in the Himalayas, Jammu and Kashmir's picturesque mountains and glaciers have resulted in many localities being susceptible to cloudbursts and landslides.

Concerned with the escalating damages, Union Minister Amit Shah urged the Meteorological Department and the National Disaster Management Authority to collaborate on a feasibility study examining the link between cloudburst patterns and moisture levels in clouds. Speaking on the significance of advanced predictive analytics in disaster management, Shah stated, "Disaster management is a dynamic field that requires constant adaptation and innovation."

Amit Shah's visit to flood-hit J&K comes as part of his three-day assessment of the union territory's flood-relief measures. His inspection bodes well for residents as they continue their uphill struggle in rebuilding their livelihoods.
