Railway stations across India have increased security measures and are conducting mock drills to ensure the safety of passengers following the Pahalgam attack. On April 22, a terrorist attack left 26 people dead in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting the Central Railway to conduct a mock drill at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). The drill involved over 100 personnel from various security forces working jointly to conduct thorough checks at the station. Similarly, the Railway DSP conducted a security drill at the Nellore Railway Station, Andhra Pradesh, following the attack. The mock drills included checking platforms, trains, and the entire station area, with local police also inspecting hotels and bus stands nearby. Officials confirmed that similar drills are being conducted at other railway stations across the country to enhance security measures and ensure the safety of passengers.
