Madhuranagar's traffic congestion has finally eased with the intervention of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), who removed a 900-meter-long, 5-foot-wide iron railing along a drain stretch. The railing, originally installed to improve safety, had obstructed traffic and created a nuisance for commuters and residents alike. For over a decade, locals had appealed to traffic police for assistance, but their requests were largely ignored.
After recent severe damage caused by heavy rain, Nagpur Highway is now fully reopened to traffic. The Cyberabad Traffic Police has thus withdrawn the traffic diversions put in place on National Highway 44. Diversion check posts were established at ORR Exit-6 and pillar number 57, Medchal, after torrential rains caused damage to the highway between Kamareddy, Dichpally, and Armoor. The police rerouted heavy traffic bound for Adilabad through Siddipet, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Korutla, and Metpally, while light vehicles were diverted from Toopran via Siddipet and Karimnagar before reuniting with NH-44 at Armoor.
