Former Congress leader Johnny Nellore has paved the way for his new political party in Kerala, christened the National Progressive Party (NPP). While announcing the formation of the party in Kochi on Saturday, Nellore, who formerly served as the United Democratic Front Secretary and deputy chairman of the Kerala Congress (Joseph faction), highlighted his vision to address the plight of local farmers. He emphasized that the party is independent and not aligned with any religious sect or political party, including the BJP.
