In a bid to enhance safety for women and make travel more accessible to them, the Nellore district administration and APSRTC are set to introduce CCTV surveillance and body-worn cameras for conductors from Friday, August 15. The decision, which coincides with the commencement of the Stree Shakti scheme, is expected to help prevent any incidents and ensure smooth RTC operations in the region.

Urban rejuvenation on a grand scale is soon to be underway in Andhra Pradesh's southern districts of Nellore, Chittoor, Tirupati, and Prakasam, with projects worth nearly Rs 3,000 crore across 26 urban local bodies.
